The husk of the psyllium seed has the ability to treat contradictory ailments such as diarrhoea and constipation. It can be used as a bulk laxative, for healing or as an anti-diarrhoea treatment.
It can be useful for horses that are prone to sand colic. While taking psyllium, it is very important to make sure the horse has access to plenty of water. It can also be helpful to feed extra salt in a horse's diet to encourage their intake of water.
Caution: Psyllium should not be fed continually as a preventative measure for sand colic.
Contains: Psyllium Husks.
Dose: 1 tbs daily (for a 500kg horse).
